Flower Festival

All Saints’ Church, Compton are holding a Festival of Wedding Flowers with a cream tea on Saturday 27th June from 1 pm – 5 pm. Come along and see the beautiful displays arranged by our wonderful flower arrangers and then wander across to the Manor House to enjoy the splendid gardens and a cream tea.

Hursley Fete

Come and join us at John Keble Primary School, Hursley on Saturday 20th June from 11.30 am – 3 pm in support of the school, All Saints’ Church and HVCA. There will be a bouncy castle, a bbq, a bar, a tombola and lots more.

Parking will be available at IBM.

All three of our churches have events planned during the month of June.

The dates for your diary are as follows: Hursley Fete – 20th June; Compton Flower Festival – 27th June; Otterbourne Festival – 28th June.

More details will follow nearer the date. However, if you are able to offer help manning stalls or volunteering in any way, please speak to at Hursley, Sophie at Compton or Katherine at Otterbourne.

Art in the Church, All Saints’ Church, Compton

Artists Wendy Bramall and Veronica Bliss will be displaying their work in church this weekend, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May. Veronica and Wendy will be in church to talk about the exhibition on Saturday between 10.30 am – 3.00 pm and on Sunday between 12.00 – 2 pm.

There will be framed and original work and greeting cards for purchase.

Entrance is free and tea, coffee and cakes will be available.

Question Time

On Saturday 9th May at 7.30 pm, you are invited to join us in St. Matthew’s Church, Otterbourne for a light-hearted ‘Question Time’ featuring our own local celebrated panel to talk and answer your questions.. Panel members include: Rev’d Patrick Webb, Danny Chambers MP, Martin Geraghty, Headmaster at Otterbourne Primary School and Miss Lucy Morris. Our Chairperson is Mr. John Pitman.

There will be no charge for the event and we will be serving wine and cheese. However, a donation plate will be available.

Do come along and join us even if you do not have a question to ask. It should be an enjoyable evening.

All Saints’, Hursley APCM

The annual meeting will take place on Sunday 26th April at 11 am following the Family Communion service. There will be a ‘Bring and Share’ lunch after the meeting, giving everyone an opportunity to catch up with or meet new friends.
