All three of our churches have events planned during the month of June.

The dates for your diary are as follows: Hursley Fete – 20th June; Compton Flower Festival – 27th June; Otterbourne Festival – 28th June.

More details will follow nearer the date. However, if you are able to offer help manning stalls or volunteering in any way, please speak to at Hursley, Sophie at Compton or Katherine at Otterbourne.

Art in the Church, All Saints’ Church, Compton

Artists Wendy Bramall and Veronica Bliss will be displaying their work in church this weekend, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May. Veronica and Wendy will be in church to talk about the exhibition on Saturday between 10.30 am – 3.00 pm and on Sunday between 12.00 – 2 pm.

There will be framed and original work and greeting cards for purchase.

Entrance is free and tea, coffee and cakes will be available.

Parentalk

Do you have a young person in your family that you struggle to talk to and understand? Are you worried about the stresses of parenting a teenager? Come and listen and share with other parents some of the stresses and conflict that arise when communicating with teens.

We are holding the event on Tuesday 12th May at 7.30 pm in Otterbourne

Question Time

On Saturday 9th May at 7.30 pm, you are invited to join us in St. Matthew’s Church, Otterbourne for a light-hearted ‘Question Time’ featuring our own local celebrated panel to talk and answer your questions.. Panel members include: Rev’d Patrick Webb, Danny Chambers MP, Martin Geraghty, Headmaster at Otterbourne Primary School and Miss Lucy Morris. Our Chairperson is Mr. John Pitman.

There will be no charge for the event and we will be serving wine and cheese. However, a donation plate will be available.

Do come along and join us even if you do not have a question to ask. It should be an enjoyable evening.

All Saints’, Hursley APCM

The annual meeting will take place on Sunday 26th April at 11 am following the Family Communion service. There will be a ‘Bring and Share’ lunch after the meeting, giving everyone an opportunity to catch up with or meet new friends.

Otterbourne Summer Festival – 28th June; Hursley Fete 20th June; Compton Flower Festival – 27th June

Seated Yoga

Starting on Tuesday 14th April, Vikki will be taking seated yoga classes in St. Matthew’s church room, Otterbourne. Classes will take place every Tuesday between 1-2 pm, If you would like to attend or like to know more, please email Vikki on vinyasawithvikki@gmail.com.

Easter Fun Day

Come and join our Easter Fun Day on Saturday 11th April between 10 am – 1 pm at St. Matthew’s Church, Otterbourne. There will be games, crafts, face painting, tombolas and a raffle as well as refreshments. Also, brand new this year, there will be a Teddy Bear’s Picnic Trail around The Cranbury Estate starting at 9.30 am with last admission at 12 noon. The trail will start and end at St. Matthew’s Church. Entry is £1 per adult and children will be admitted for free.

Everyone is welcome to come to join in the fun. Why not come along?

Teddy Bears’ Picnic

A Teddy Bears’ Picnic trail will be held at The Cranbury Estate in Otterbourne on 11th April. The gates open at 9.30 am for families. This will be a lovely event with a chance to enjoy the outdoors together. More details to follow.

Oasis Christian Centre, Romsey

Oasis Christian Centre is a charity-run business that has operated in Romsey since 1984. It sells a wide range of second-hand books, Bibles, cards, stationery, and much more.

This year, Oasis is holding its first ever Easter Egg Hunt. Drop in with your primary school aged children during the Easter school holidays, hunt for eggs, learn about the true Easter story and win a prize.

Also available at Oasis are The Real Easter eggs. These are Palm Oil free and the Original and Dark eggs are plastic free. Out of the 80 million Easter eggs sold in this part of the world every year, The Real Easter Egg is the only one which has an Easter story book in the box, is made of Fairtrade chocolate and supports charitable projects. Please continue to support your local Christian Bookshop.
