This week the church begins Passiontide, the period of meditation on Christ’s Passion leading up to Easter Sunday.
We intend to return to our normal pattern of worship at our three parish churches from Palm Sunday. Services wil be held on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. There will also be a short service of prayer and meditation on Zoom at 6pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Holy Week.
We still intend to stream the services from St Matthew’s, but you will be able to attend your parish church up to the maximum that is thought Covid-safe, around 45 for Otterbourne and Compton, and 50 for Hursley. Masks will have to be worn and, sadly, we still can’t have any congregational singing. Please refer to the Benefice Services page for more details.
Lent continues for a few more weeks yet.
