The next coffee morning will take place from 10 am on Monday 4th November in St, Matthew’s Church Room.
This month we will be raising money for Trinity who provide support for the homeless. Our last get together raised £85 for the Basics Bank in addition to the donations received for Harvest.
This year’s annual Christmas tree festival will be held in All Saints’ Church, Hursley on Saturday 14th December between 11 am and 4 pm. This year our theme is the Christmas Alphabet.
There will be a cafe, stalls, entertainment and competitions. Come along and support everyone and vote for your favourite tree. As usual, the tree with the most votes will be announced during the Christingle service on Sunday 15th December. The service starts at 3.30 pm.
This year’s Chrsitmas Fair will be held on Saturday 30th November in Otterbourne Village Hall.
We are hoping to provide a large variety of stalls including craft stalls, ‘Nearly New’ stalls, seasonal gifts and activities.
If you would be interested in having a stall at this event and would like to book a space, please email firstname.lastname@example.org before 31st October to request a booking form. Stalls cost £10 each with tables and chairs provided. Stalls will be free for anyone donating their proceeds to St. Matthew’s Church, Otterbourne.

Every second Saturday of the month at 12.30 pm in The Reeves Scout Hall, Martins Field, Compton, a lunch is offered to whomever would like to come and join us. This is a social occasion where you will have the opportunity to meet new people or catch up with friends and neighbours.
Come along this Saturday and you will receive a very warm welcome.
Don’t forget the next meeting is to be held on Wednesday 2nd October at 8 pm in Compton School Hall.
Sometimes meeting new people can be difficult when you move to a new place.
Hursley Village Community Association are holding their annual Newcomers Lunch on 23rd November at 12.30 pm for 1 pm in the Village Hall. The aim of the lunch is to provide the opportunity for neighbours to become friends and for others to catch up with old friends.
Newcomers to the village and their families can join us free of charge and the cost for everyone else is £5 per person. This cost includes a glass of wine or soft drink, a simple home-cooked two course lunch and coffee. To book your place, email: email@example.com and include your name and the number in your party, plus any specific dietary requirements. Please send your request by 5th November.
Everyone is most welcome to join us. The more the merrier!
