Hursley Hub Breakfast

The next breakfast cafe will be held on Saturday 23rd November from 9 am until 12 noon in All Saints’ Church, Hursley.

Come along for breakfast or just join us for a coffee. Everyone will receive a warm welcome.

Also, don’t forget the Newcomers Lunch being held on the same day in Hursley Village Hall from 12.30 pm for 1 pm. See the note on the next page for further details.

St. Matthew’s Christmas Fair

The Christmas Fair is being held on Saturday 30th November from 12 noon until 3 pm in Otterbourne Village Hall.

If you would like to donate items for the Christmas hamper or would be happy to bake a cake for the refreshments, please email . Alternatively, come along and join in the fun.

There will also be a Quiz Night on the same day in the Village Hall, 7 pm for 7.30 pm start. Tickets are £10 each and will include either a fish and chip or sausage and chips supper. Should you wish to join in or form a team, please contact us using the email above.

The next lunch will be held on Saturday 9th November at 12.30 pm at Reeves Scout Hall, Compton. If you would like to join us, just come along or contact The Rector for details.

Compton Parish Supper

The Parish of Compton will hold their annual Parish supper on Wednesday 20th November at South Winchester Golf Club. If you would like to reserve a place, please either reply to your invitation or contact no later than 6th November. The cost of the meal will be £20.

The Good Book Group

This month we will be looking at Mark 11.1 – 13.3.

We shall meet at 8 pm on Wednesday 6th November in Compton All Saints Primary School.

St. Matthew’s Coffee Morning

The next coffee morning will take place from 10 am on Monday 4th November in St, Matthew’s Church Room.

This month we will be raising money for Trinity who provide support for the homeless. Our last get together raised £85 for the Basics Bank in addition to the donations received for Harvest.

Hursley Christmas Tree Festival

This year’s annual Christmas tree festival will be held in All Saints’ Church, Hursley on Saturday 14th December between 11 am and 4 pm. This year our theme is the Christmas Alphabet.

There will be a cafe, stalls, entertainment and competitions. Come along and support everyone and vote for your favourite tree. As usual, the tree with the most votes will be announced during the Christingle service on Sunday 15th December. The service starts at 3.30 pm.

St. Matthew’s Christmas Fair

This year’s Chrsitmas Fair will be held on Saturday 30th November in Otterbourne Village Hall.

We are hoping to provide a large variety of stalls including craft stalls, ‘Nearly New’ stalls, seasonal gifts and activities.

If you would be interested in having a stall at this event and would like to book a space, please email before 31st October to request a booking form. Stalls cost £10 each with tables and chairs provided. Stalls will be free for anyone donating their proceeds to St. Matthew’s Church, Otterbourne.

Benefice 2nd Saturday lunch

Every second Saturday of the month at 12.30 pm in The Reeves Scout Hall, Martins Field, Compton, a lunch is offered to whomever would like to come and join us. This is a social occasion where you will have the opportunity to meet new people or catch up with friends and neighbours.

Come along this Saturday and you will receive a very warm welcome.
